300 Bcm of Gas Have Been Transported via the Nord Stream Gas Transport Route

On 16 August 2019, Nord Stream AG — the operator of the Nord Stream gas pipeline — reached a symbolical milestone of 300 bcm. This is the total volume of natural gas, which has been supplied via this pipeline route to the European consumers.

Since the start of operations of Nord Stream's Line 1 in November, 2011 and Line 2 in October, 2012, the volume of transported gas has been steadily increased and reached the full pipeline capacity utilization in 2018.

The works on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline proceed as scheduled. As up to date, 1,805.6 kilometres (73.6% percent) of its two strings have been laid in the territorial waters of Germany, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
