HAIDACH STORAGE FACILITY

Gazprom export LLC starts on November 1st, 2011 a transparent and non-discriminatory procedure to offer storage capacities in the underground natural gas storage facility Haidach, Republic of Austria.

The potential storage customers will have the possibility to conclude store-or-pay contracts for a period of one (1) year.

The Storage Prospects can register for Allocation Phase and submit their application documents from November 1st, 2011, 12.00 hrs (CET) until and including December 30th, 2011, 12.00 hrs (CET).

After successful registration, the Storage Prospects can bindingly request their desired storage capacities for Storage Capacity (Stage I and Stage 2) short-term agreements within the auction on January 20th, 2012 from 08.00 hrs (CET) until 16.00 hrs (CET).

The Haidach gas reservoir in the state of Salzburg owns primary porosity and was found by RAG in 1997 at a depth of 1600 meteres. It was converted into one of the largest underground gas storage facilities in Central Europe by WINGAS, Rohöl-Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft (RAG) and Gazprom export.

The operations of the UGS started on the 1st of July 2007, with the usable working gas volume of 1.2 billion m3. Upon commissioning of Stage II of the UGS facility on the 1st of April 2011, its usable working gas volume totaled 2.64 billion m3.

The Austrian underground storage facility Haidach comprises the utilization of the reservoir and connecting the storage facility to the German/Austrian gas terminal at Burghausen. So it can be used consequently in Germany also Austria for the seasonal balance.
